At New York Fashion Week in February 2025, Carolina Herrera unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 collection atop the 48th floor of the Solow Building, offering panoramic views of Manhattan. Creative Director Wes Gordon drew inspiration from the 1979 film Being There, channeling its poetic and romantic atmosphere into a lineup that balanced elegance with modernity.
The runway, adorned with 3,000 burgundy ranunculus flowers, set the stage for 66 looks that ranged from delicate floral lace ensembles to tailored pinstriped suits. Signature elements included silk rosettes, oversized flower brooches, and vibrant tulip prints, all rendered in jewel tones inspired by Sonia Delaunay’s painting Rhythm Color. The show concluded with a standout piece: a dramatic black silk faille cape featuring a rosette, paired with a black jewel macramé sleeveless dress.
The show was filmed using an eight-camera setup, incorporating a crane, Steadicam, and drone to highlight the collection’s intricate details and the venue’s sweeping cityscape. The presentation was attended by notable guests, including Dove Cameron, Chloe Fineman, Emmy Rossum, and Nicole Scherzinger.
