The training you need for a bright future!
At Mediakite TrainingCenter® we prime first-rate professional cameramen to excel in the media world. The cameraman is a key figure in the television industry and plays a crucial role in television production. While most schools provide a generic curriculum when teaching videomaking, TrainingCenter® teaches the foundations of a fascinating profession by addressing the four fundamentals of quality camerawork:
The cameraman is a figurative artist. But before exploring the abstract he must know how to capture still life and render live design. Like every major artist, the cameraman must first master the basics, before contemplating his own master works.
Mediakite TrainingCenter's ENG [electronic news gathering] course is the brainchild of Francesco Malatesta. The program was born out necessity when Francesco was searching for freelance camera operators in New York City. While the fresh-out-of-school operators he met were adept at the documentary format and structure, they lacked the skills to successfully complete a TV assignment in a one-day shoot. Citywide there were several courses available, but none provided the skills necessary to tackle the real, gritty work of the professional shoot. This frustration led Francesco to create the Mediakite TrainingCenter® , which offers fellow mediamakers the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge required to obtain a professional entry-level position as a cameraman in the television industry.
After attending TrainingCenter® , you will be able to immediately work as an independent freelancer, as a full-time staffer for a network, or to travel the world as a documentary filmmaker.
